DRIVETRAIN ENGINEERING

RELIABLE
POWER DELIVERY

High-horsepower builds demand absolute mechanical reliability. We engineer, rebuild, and reinforce transmissions to handle serious torque loads without failure, with precision clearances, cryo-treated gearsets, and rigorous testing.

Transmission shift fork and synchro assembly

In The Shop

Every rebuild is documented from teardown to final torque, so you know exactly what went into your transmission.

Overview

The Weak Link Ends Here

Horsepower means nothing if the transmission can't put it down. We rebuild and reinforce manual and automatic gearboxes for street and track builds, matching internals, synchros, and clutch hardware to the torque figure the engine is actually making, not the figure on the box.

01. Teardown & Inspection

Full disassembly, synchro and dog-ring wear measurement, shift fork inspection, and bearing race magnaflux to catch fatigue before it fails on the street.

02. Precision Rebuild

Upgraded synchros, forged gearsets, and cryo-treated internals sourced per platform and torque target, assembled to factory-plus clearances.

03. Clutch & Drivetrain Match

Clutch kit selection matched to power and traction goals, flywheel balancing, and axle or driveshaft verification before the car leaves the shop.

Knowledge Base / FAQ

Do you rebuild OEM gearsets or only aftermarket? add

Both. Stock synchros and gearsets are viable up to a certain torque threshold. Past that, we spec forged or upgraded internals rated for your target power level.

How long does a transmission rebuild take? add

Standard rebuilds run 5-7 business days depending on parts availability. Custom sleeved or built gearset jobs with backordered internals can extend that window, we'll give you a real timeline once the case is opened and inspected.

Do I need a new clutch with a transmission rebuild? add

Not always, but it's inspected while the transmission is out regardless. If your clutch is undersized for the power goal or already worn, we'll flag it before reassembly rather than sending you back in for a second labor charge.

Who pays for parts? add

If you're not bringing your own parts, all parts must be paid for in full up front. JNOS does not purchase parts out of pocket on a customer's behalf.

Every drivetrain job is priced against the actual condition of the case and the power goal. Final cost depends on what we find once it's opened up and what parts the job needs. Send us your specs and we'll follow up with a real quote.
